Distance Learning Makes Things A Lot Easier for Me

One of the reasons I entered the Indonesia Open University (Universitas Terbuka or UT) was because this university implemented a distance learning. This makes learning flexible. This makes things a lot easier for me, especially when it comes to my health.

I've always been used to studying independently, meaning I taught myself. This made it easier for me when I entered the Indonesia Open University which indirectly requires students to study independently. I have the ability to learn independently and I am proud of it.

I told my college friends that learning is anywhere and anytime. We don't really need to set a specific time to study, but back to each individual. I learn anywhere and anytime and I thank myself for that. If we are not used to studying it will be difficult to study later.

But of course there are weaknesses to the distance learning system, especially since it depends heavily on information and communications technology (ICT). There are still many people that don't know ICT and I know ICT. I thank myself for that.

My New Haircut (2024)

My new haircut. I think, this is actually not good but I want to shorten my hair. This could be better if I cut it correctly, maybe. My hair is also a bit wavy. So, this is how it happens. If you look at it from another angle, my hair is not good.

I will cut my hair again next year, I hope it's not worse than this year's. If you have a good face, maybe any haircut or style can suit you, but not me. Hopefully I can be like those who have good faces one day.

I Need Money to Take Care of Myself

Self-care actually requires quite a bit of money. I need money to take care of myself and for now, because I don't have a job yet, the money comes from my mother. That's enough for basic care, I also don't want to ask for more for quite a lot of reasons.

When I remember that my physical appearance is not very good, I often feel down, especially because I have scoliosis and I also have an overbite. What needs to be cured first is my scoliosis and later my overbite.

I want to beautify my hair and it's expensive. I want to have straight hair with straight bangs like Sayoko Yamaguchi (山口小夜子), if you've seen my post about her. Ah, I hope one day my hair will be as beautiful as that, The main thing is that my hair is healthy.

Hopefully later I will have lots of money so I can cure my scoliosis and my overbite. I will also beautify my hair as I said before. This process may not be fast, I will be patient. The people who truly love me will be happy if I'm happy, that's for sure.

I Fast Because of Health not Because of Religion

I fast because of health not because of religion, after all I'm not religious. Even then, I fast according to my mood, if I'm not in the mood, I don't fast. But I fast at the same time as those Muslims who fast during Ramadan, just taking the moment.

My family doesn't know about this and that's good and I will never tell them about this. They know I fast but for what reason they don't know. They don't even know that I'm not a Muslim anymore and again, that's good.

It's my choice not your choice. I don't care if later conservative Muslims will condemn me. Keep your conservatism to yourself. Why I say this is because I don't want people to think I'm Muslim except for certain circumstances.

Checking My Eye Condition

Yesterday my mother and I went to the eye hospital to have my eyes checked. Yokatta, there wasn't any problem with my eyes after being examined with a tool that has a camera and flashlight to check the eyes by the ophthalmologist. She gave me medicine and eye drops.

My New Glasses (5th)

Look, I have a new glasses! This is my 5th glasses, my mother ordered this online and the package was received on Sunday, 27 August, 2023. Now I don't have to struggle to see distant objects. What do you think about my new glasses? I like cat eye glasses. With cat eye glasses it can add me more feminine and sophisticated look.

Cat eye glasses first appeared in 1930s and became so popular in 1950s and 1960s (I'll write more about cat eye glasses later). With so many eyewear companies now the price of glasses is not that expensive now like in the past. My glasses cost almost close to IDR 300,000.

On Thursday, 10 August, 2023 I and my mother went to the eye hospital to check the condition of eyes. Thankfully there are no problems with my eyes and yeah my scale of nearsightedness has increased (the numbers are secret) I should have written this last month but I was lazy.

I should make another article about my visit to the eye hospital last month but I think it's good if I post my photos in the eye hospital in this article, so these are the photos:

Story of the Day (Monday, 24 July, 2023)

Ah, what a hot day but I've got a referral letter from public health center to check the conditions of my eyes. I went to the public health center today with my mother.

I chose to check the condition of my eyes at the eye hospital. This referral letter is valid until 21 October, I still have 3 months to go to the eye hospital.

I'm having a really hard time not having glasses now, I have to have glasses again after my last glasses shattered last January. All the distant objects become blurry as fuck.

I'm a bit down actually today, my feeling of loneliness strikes me again. But thanks to my online besties like Ifa and Fency (she's my new bestie), they made me smile again after we're talking about 18+, it's so fun.

Story of the Day (Friday, 5 May, 2023)

Ah, two days ago and three days ago were tiring. I went with my mother to many places during the day. Many things have been made, I was so exhausted because of it. If it's like that, then I have to sleep for a long time and I made it yesterday even though yesterday my mother and I should have gone to many places to take care of many things but I can't. Long sleep after the body is very tired, I really need it.

Three days ago, Tuesday, I went with my mother to the immigration office to ask about information on making a passport to my sister then to the Manado UPBJJ-UT (Unit Program Belajar Jarak Jauh Universitas Terbuka, The Open University Distance Learning Program Center) office to ask about open university new student registration and tuition fees, then to the shop to buy lots of basic necessities. Two days ago, Wednesday, I went with my mother to civil registry office to make a KTP (Kartu Tanda Penduduk, Identity card) for me and to computer service place to check my mother's old PC and buy a new PC.

Yesterday, Thursday, my mother and I should have gone to the health center to get a letter of introduction to the ophthalmologist to check the myopia level of my eyes and then go to the Suzuki dealer to replace my mother's motorbike engine belt. But I didn't accompany my mother to make all of that, I was exhausted two and three days ago so I slept for a long time and didn't go to my mother's house at the morning.

You know, I try to write an article every day about my daily story then I post it on the internet but sometimes I'm really tired or I don't have time to write. So, understand if I can't post articles about my daily story every day. I'm a person who gets tired easily and I need a comfortable state to write long like this. I have scoliosis and that's one of the factors that makes it difficult for me to get comfortable.

Ah, you know, I have cut my hair four days ago, Monday, at night. I shortened my hair and cut my front hair to make bangs but I really regret cutting my front hair. I shortened my hair because I wanted to make an ID card so that my ID card photo would be neater. When at the civil registry office  during a photo shoot, I made my hair have bangs, straight bangs. I also wore a tie for the photoshoot. I don't expect that many of my KTP photos will be good, this is a common problem for the Indonesian people if their KTP photos are bad. I'm really annoyed that I've cut my front hair, I really want straight bangs like Lalisa Manoban member of Blackpink.

Story of the Day (Saturday, 8 April, 2023)

I'm a little sick today, yesterday I got wet in the rain when walking from my boarding house to my mother's house. I'm kinda depressive too.

I was a bit annoyed with my mother when I came home and said I wanted to take some medicine, I was sick so I have to do it (she didn't know that I'm not fasting), she said I was sick because staying up late, weird.

Story of the Day (Thursday, 9 February, 2023)

All day long I slept from 7am to 4pm. Yes, I was quite tired of writing yesterday. I should go out today but I didn't, but tomorrow hopefully I will.

Yesterday I should have gone to the public health center to check my blood type but it didn't work, today I should have gone too but it didn't work, hopefully tomorrow I can go.

My mother today went to my high school to check my diploma and my mother said my diploma was well written. Thankfully, so I only have to stamp 3 fingers on my diploma later, maybe next week I'll take my diploma.
